In my opinion temples are centres for educating the public in spiritual values and I have a mission to organize all temples for that spiritual education. (Srila Prabhupadas Letter to Visitors’ Book — Delhi 18 September, 1960). Srila Prabhupada emphasized the importance of devotees gaining a systematic understanding of the profound Vedic philosophy presented in his books.
Every temple serves as an educational center. Embracing this responsibility, ISKCON Auckland Temple President, HG Kalasamvara Prabhu, along with HG Praneshwar Prabhu, currently the Vice President of ISKCON Indore, founded RISE (Rupanuga Institute of Spiritual Education) in Auckland in 2017.

The RISE is the educational wing of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, is dedicated to helping you achieve the highest perfection of life. As you ascend on this journey, you will rise above difficulties, unlock your true potential, and bid farewell to the ordinary. Awaken your innate abilities, strengthen your resolve, and immerse yourself in sacred chants. Srila Prabhupada Quotes
No one understands his real self-interest, which lies with the spirit soul, not with the material body. Education means spiritual education. To work hard in the bodily conception of life, without spiritual education, is to live like an animal (SB 8.16.19, Purport)
Because in the past strong objections were raised against including religious classes in the schools, they have been excluded, and now severe reactions are being seen in today’s youth. I think that excluding spiritual studies from education thwarts all chances for the human mind to awaken and blossom. Because of a lack of spiritual education, today’s youth are undisciplined. Students who do not pray or meditate in the early morning, and again in the evening, gradually become agnostics, and their minds float about aimlessly without purpose. (Renunciation Through Wisdom 2.3)
